Syenite Rocks Near Pocoucov
Going north of the town you will get to a remarkable natural monument that will delight not only geologists but also enthusiasts in the natural beauty of all kinds. Already in the town you will have a beautiful natural scenery with ponds.

From the town centre, follow the blue tourist trail around the Czech Post through Soukenická Street to the footbridge across the river. Against the stream you will go through the neighborhoods of small houses called Kočičina, around the Baba pond towards the Jewish Cemetery. Continue through the Týn valley, around the system of three ponds - Vodovodní, Barák and U Suchých. At the last one, turn left to the road and get off at the New Cemetery (town bus final stop). From the New Cemetery you will walk along the road to the edge of Třebíč, where at the last villas turn left onto a farm road and continue to the forest. After a short walk through the forest, you will come across a yellow sign and turn to the right. Cross the Okřešice brook and go past the Lubí brook to Pocoucov. Walk through the village and turn from the yellow tourist trail to the left and cross the field to get to the slope with rocks from above. You will see massive blocks of syenite rocks, the information board is located below the slope. The Syenite Rocks are a natural monument and represent a characteristic demonstration of the boulder decay of the granite and syenite Třebíč massif on an area of less than one hectare. You will return to the yellow trail and this time at the crossroads behind the Okřešický brook turn right and follow the yellow trail to the forest in Dubiny. Cross the road and turn left at the crossroads in Dubiny to the green route that will take you back to the town.
