From Třebíč to Vineyards at the Sádek Castle
Come to a country full of fields, gentle hills, forests and wayside crosses. A trip south of Třebíč offers a slightly undulating landscape, flowing through the Rokytná River, and the only vineyard in the Vysočina Region.
Route length: 29.5 km
From Třebíč, follow the cycle path 401, which will take you from the town through the garden village to the south. At the crossroads "U křížku" you will pass the turning to Střítež, by which you will leave the cycle route 401 and continue along the cycle route 26 through the village of Slavice to the crossroads "Pod Pekelným vrchem". Here you can make a small turn and after 500 m you can reach the lookout tower on the hill of Pekelný kopec, which is open all year round. You will return to Route 26 to get to Kojetice. At the signpost, turn right into the village and follow the main road to get behind the village to the Kojetice swimming pool where you can refresh yourself. After a rest, you will return to the village along the cycling route 5217, which turns right and leads directly to the Sádek Wine Centre and below the Sádek Castle. You will continue the alley to cycle path 5103, which will join the yellow trail along which you will continue to the hills of Horní hora, Zadní hora and the village of Čechočovice. After the railway crossing you will join cycling trail 5212 and head towards the village of Stařeč. You can reach the village along the Stařeč brook. In the village you will pass the church of St. James the Greater and turn left to the road which will lead you behind the village where you will join the cycle trail leading to Třebíč. You will approach the town from the west side and you can get to the centre through the Libuše Valley or Krajíček s hillside behind Polanka.
