Around the Dalešice Dam
The trail will lead you through the footsteps of flooded mills and mysterious ruins of the former medieval castles. At that time, they were massive buildings, but nowadays the mills have left only a monument below the surface of the water and the castles are now mere stone ruins full of secrets ... You can discover all of this on the way along the banks of the Dalešice Dam.
Shorter circuit: 26.9 km
Longer circuit: 42.8 km
You will start your trip at the village of Vladislav and head south along the way to Číměř, from where you will continue on cycle path No. 5107, which will take you through the beautiful nooks and around the ruins to road No. 399. Here you can choose from two options. If you want a shorter circuit, turn left, go along the bridge over the Dalešice dam and, following the road along the other bank, you will return to Vladislav. If you choose the longer circuit around the entire dam, you will head right into the village of Stropešín, where behind the village you turn left and head towards the ruin of Čalonice. From there you will continue along cycle route No. 5107 along the lake to the dam and the village of Kramolín. Behind the village you can make a small detour (4 km) to the Babylon lookout tower. If you pass Kramolín straight, you will join the cycling trail No. 5108 and ride through the village of Popůvky. On the left side you can see the take-off runway and complex of military air base at Náměšť nad Oslavou. Before Hartvíkovice, go straight ahead and enter cycle route No. 5207, which goes through the villages of Třesov, Kozlany, Koněšín and back to Vladislav. Between Třesov and Kozlany you will join a shorter circuit to return to Vladislav.
